This organic hand and body cream is a blend of organic extra virgin olive oil and organic shea butter with luscious lavender essential oil.
The main ingredient of organic extra virgin olive oil provides that softness to the cream that makes it feel so luxurious to apply. Olive oil contains at least four different types of antioxidants: vitamin A & E, polyphenols, phytosterols and avenasterol to help maintain and healthy body. The antioxidants in the olive oil work by neutralising the damaging free radicals that can lead to skin aging and skin cancer. Chlorophyll, present in olive oil gives it the green pigment and is the lift giving part of plants. It is an anti-aging substance that promotes the healing of skin conditions and wounds.
Shea butter is the African treatment for skin conditions such as eczema, scarring sunburn, itching, insect bites & skin blemishes and this is the key and main ingredient in this body butter. We use organic (of course) and fair trade shea butter only which contains naturally occurring vitamins A, E & F. With its incredible anti-inflammatory properties and ability to reduce irritation makes it such a brilliant healer.
Drops of organic lavender oil are added to create a beautiful scent but more importantly to give the added benefits that come with lavender. The lavender flower is yet another of nature’s wonders with its healing benefits being seemingly endless. It is a naturally antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory oil so works to soothe the skin whilst also helping to rid the skin of spots and blemishes and heal within. This also renders lavender oil excellent for acne, scarring, soothing and calming itchy skin, or indeed skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. It is excellent on sunburnt skin and equally so for oily skin. It even acts as an insect repellent.

This has a lovely fragrance and it’s smooth texture is ideal for smooth over larger areas of the body such as legs, so I use this every morning after my shower on legs, and use the body butter on my arms. Just heavenly.
