What ingredients are in the lip balms?

We make our lip balms with a simple blend of organic shea butter and organic cocoa butter. Our scented varieties also contain organic essential oils, while our Unscented Lip Balm contains only the two organic butters. We choose these ingredients to help soften, moisturise and protect the lips while keeping our formulations simple.

Can you make a lip balm with strawberry or vanilla in it?

Our current range includes Orange & Grapefruit, Lemon & Mint and Unscented Lip Balms. We carefully choose our ingredients and scents to keep our lip balms natural, organic and vegan. We only ever use essential oils that have benefits to the skin & never make a product using fragrances just for the scents alone.

How are your lip balms different to one I can buy in the chemist or supermarket?

We keep our lip balms deliberately simple. We use organic shea and cocoa butters as the foundation rather than relying on a long list of synthetic ingredients. Our lip balms are 100% organic and vegan, and our Unscented Lip Balm is made without essential oils for those who prefer a particularly simple formulation.

We also package our lip balms in reusable aluminium tins rather than conventional plastic tubes. Many lip balms readily available in chemists or supermarkets use petroleum jelly as their primary ingredient.  Whilst this may feel pleasant to the lips, all it does is suffocate the skin and dry it out even quicker, thus creating the desire to apply even more. It doesn’t provide actual skin softening benefits to your lips.

Would you make a lip balm in a tube?

Our lip balms are currently presented in handy aluminium tins, which we have chosen as part of our approach to simple, practical and more sustainable packaging. We would like to make them in cardboard tubes but our formulae would have to change to accommodate this. Never say never!
