What are the ingredients in the soaps?

We make our soaps using a simple blend of organic extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil and shea butter. As we use the traditional cold-pressed soap making method, lye (sodium hydroxide) & distilled water is blended to create a lye solution.  This is added to the melted & blended combination of oils and butters.  This creates the chemical reaction called saponification that produces the rich lathering soap. During the weeks of the curing process the lye evaporates, and no lye is left in the final product.

Essential oils are added before blending and pouring the soaps before leaving them to harden before cutting & curing.  These create the different scents we offer. We also offer an unscented soap that contains no essential oils, making it a particularly simple option for who require or desire it. We don’t use palm or rapeseed oil, and we don’t add colourants, glitter or other unnecessary ingredients. Our soaps are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

How are your soaps different to others?

We make our soaps in small batches using the cold-process method, and each bar is hand cut, so every bar is naturally unique. We use carefully selected organic oils and shea butter to create a cleansing lather that is gentle on the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling dry.

We keep our formulations deliberately simple and don’t use palm or rapeseed oil, artificial colourants or glitter. Our soaps are also vegan and cruelty-free, and we package them using recycled and compostable paper materials.

Can I use the soap on my face?

Yes, our soaps are gentle enough to be used on the face as well as the body. We recommend choosing the variety that best suits your preferences, including our Unscented Soap if you prefer to avoid essential oils.

To use, we recommend rubbing the bar onto wet hands to create a lather, applying it to the skin and then rinsing thoroughly with warm water. As with any skincare product, our soaps are for external use only, and you should discontinue use if irritation occurs.

How long do they last?

How long a bar lasts will depend on how frequently it is used and how it is stored between uses. To help your soap last as long as possible, we recommend allowing it to dry out between uses rather than leaving it sitting in water.

Our soap bars have a minimum weight of 90g, although the weight can vary because each bar is handmade and hand cut.
